Refund Policy

Effective Date: March 10, 2026

This Refund Policy describes the terms under which Ironclad Solutions LLC, doing business as Alethia ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), handles refund requests for subscriptions to the Alethia mobile application (the "App").

1. All Sales Are Final

All subscription purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription fees, including partial-period refunds for unused time remaining on a subscription term. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and agree that the subscription fee is non-refundable except as expressly stated in this policy or as required by applicable law.

This policy applies to both annual and monthly subscription plans regardless of the payment method used.

2. Billing Error Corrections

We will issue corrections in the following circumstances:

Duplicate Charges: If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a billing error, we will reverse the duplicate charge.

Incorrect Amount: If you were charged an amount different from the price displayed at the time of purchase due to a system error, we will correct the charge to reflect the correct amount.

Unauthorized Charges: If a charge was made without your authorization and you did not have access to the App during the charged period, we will investigate and reverse the charge if confirmed unauthorized.

To request a billing error correction, contact us at [email protected] within thirty (30) days of the charge. Include your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a description of the billing error. We will respond within five (5) business days.

3. How to Cancel Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store: Open your iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Alethia → Cancel Subscription. Apple manages all billing for App Store subscriptions. We cannot process cancellations or refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store — you must manage these directly through Apple.

For subscriptions purchased through the Alethia website (Stripe): Contact us at [email protected] to cancel. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

After cancellation, you retain access to all premium features until the end of your current paid period. Once the period expires, your access will revert to the limited functionality available without a subscription.

4. Apple App Store Refunds

If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App Store and wish to request a refund from Apple, you may do so through Apple's refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple has sole discretion over whether to grant refunds for App Store purchases. We have no ability to approve, deny, or influence Apple's refund decisions.

5. Subscription Pricing Changes

We may change subscription pricing at any time. If we increase the price of your subscription plan, we will notify you at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the next renewal date. Continued use of the App after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Free and Paid Tiers

The App offers a free tier with unlimited product scanning across all categories, full ingredient verdicts, and sharing. No credit card is required. Premium features require a paid subscription. This refund policy applies only to paid subscription purchases. Free tier usage does not involve any charges and therefore no refund applies.

7. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If you are located in a jurisdiction that requires refunds under certain circumstances (such as the European Union's right of withdrawal), those statutory rights apply in addition to this policy.
