These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Ironclad Solutions LLC, doing business as Alethia ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Alethia mobile application (the "App") and related services.
Alethia is a health and wellness lifestyle guide that provides educational information about food ingredients, nutrition, recipes, household products, fitness, and wellness practices. The App includes product scanning, ingredient analysis, recipe recommendations, AI-powered responses, fitness guidance, and related features.
THE APP IS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THE APP IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. THE APP IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL, NUTRITIONAL, DIETARY, OR HEALTH ADVICE.
You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use the App, or sixteen (16) in jurisdictions where required by applicable data protection laws. If you are under eighteen (18), you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
Use of the App requires account creation. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Access to the App requires a paid subscription. Current pricing: $9.99/month billed annually ($119.88/year) or $19.99/month billed monthly. Prices are subject to change with notice.
All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's applicable terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least twenty-four (24) hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
The App offers a free tier that includes unlimited product scanning across all supported categories with full ingredient verdicts and share functionality. No credit card is required and no time limit applies. Premium features — including clean swap suggestions, AI ingredient explanations, scan history, recipes, meal tracking, AI nutritionist, step challenges, community features, and other advanced functionality — require an active paid subscription.
The Alethia Standard is our proprietary rating system for evaluating products based on their ingredient composition. Ratings ("Approved," "Acceptable," "Avoid") reflect our editorial analysis and opinion. These ratings are provided solely for educational and informational purposes.
The Alethia Standard is not a medical, scientific, or regulatory standard. Ratings are not endorsed by or associated with any governmental agency, medical institution, or regulatory authority. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary or lifestyle changes.
Product information is sourced from our proprietary database, third-party databases, and user-submitted data. We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain accuracy but cannot guarantee completeness or currency. Product manufacturers may change formulations at any time. You are solely responsible for verifying information by reading the physical product label.

Recipes, workout routines, and wellness content are for educational purposes only. Nutritional information and exercise specifications are approximations. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new diet or exercise program.
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content solely for providing and improving the App. You agree not to submit false information, violate laws, infringe third-party rights, transmit harmful code, or use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes.
The App and all content, features, functionality, databases, rating methodology, and branding are owned by Alethia and protected by intellectual property laws. The name "Alethia," the Alethia logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Alethia.
THE APP IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROVIDER. NEVER DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE BECAUSE OF INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE APP. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER IMMEDIATELY. RELIANCE ON INFORMATION FROM THE APP IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALETHIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, PRODUCT RATINGS, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, OR HEALTH DECISIONS BASED ON APP INFORMATION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alethia from claims arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or health decisions made based on App information.
Contact [email protected] and attempt to resolve disputes informally for at least thirty (30) days before formal proceedings.
Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
YOU AND ALETHIA AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to [email protected] within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time. You may delete your account through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Sections 10–19 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable federal law.
We will notify you of material changes at least seven (7) days prior. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the App and delete your account.
